Kayak, Lunch, and Relax on the Beach
Perfect for couples or a simple family beach day
Arrive early, preferably between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., shortly after the park gates open.
Begin your morning with a peaceful paddle through the waterways of Lovers Key State Park. Spend a few hours exploring the mangroves, watching for dolphins, manatees, birds, and other Florida wildlife.
Before visiting the park, pack a cooler with drinks, water, snacks, and lunch. Stop by Publix for a few Gatorades, snacks, and Pub Subs, or bring your own favorite beach-day meal or Grill out on one of the many grills in the park
Once you finish kayaking, walk over to the beach and settle into your complimentary setup:
-
Two resort-style lounge chairs
-
One large beach umbrella
-
A table for your food and belongings
Enjoy lunch in the shade, take a swim in the Gulf, listen to the waves, and relax for the rest of the afternoon.
Your day can be as simple as:
Kayak in the morning. Eat lunch on the beach. Swim in the Gulf. Relax under an umbrella.
You can also spend part of the day fishing. Guests who rent two kayaks may use our available basic fishing equipment, including fishing poles, tackle, a bait bucket with a bubbler, and a cast net for catching bait.
It’s an easy way to enjoy several different activities without carrying an entire garage full of equipment into the park.
