Cancellation Policy
Booking, Cancellation & Weather Policy Reservation Policy A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your equipment, tour, rental, or reservation date. The remaining balance is due prior to the start of services unless otherwise approved by management. Cancellation Policy Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled reservation may be eligible for a credit or reschedule at management discretion. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation are non-refundable, including deposits. No-shows are non-refundable. Weather Policy Guest safety is our priority. In the event of unsafe weather conditions, lightning, high winds, dangerous surf, or other conditions determined unsafe by management, reservations will be rescheduled to another available date. Matt’s Beach Shack and management reserve the right to determine whether weather conditions are unsafe for operations. Refunds will not be issued due to weather-related interruptions, delays, or closures. Guests will instead receive a rescheduled booking or account credit toward a future reservation. Rescheduling Policy Guests may request to reschedule based on availability. Management approval is required for all reschedule requests. Management Rights Matt’s Beach Shack reserves the right to refuse service, modify operations due to safety concerns, and make final determinations regarding cancellations, weather delays, and operational conditions.

Our **Hickory Island Double Kayak Rental** is a convenient **drop-and-go service**. Book online, meet our team at the designated launch area, and we’ll bring your tandem kayak, paddles, and life vests directly to you. From there, you’re free to paddle out, explore, and enjoy a beautiful Southwest Florida beach day together. ### ✅ What’s Included * (1) Double / Tandem Kayak * (2) Paddles * (2) Life vests * Drop-off and pickup * Basic safety and launch briefing ### ⏱ Rental Details * Up to **5 hours** * Book online * Meet us at the launch * Paddle independently * We return to collect the equipment ### 🏝 Perfect for a Beach Day The tandem kayak has room for two guests plus a small cooler, towels, dry bag, drinks, snacks, and other lightweight beach gear. Paddle out to Hickory Island, pull up on the beach, relax, swim, fish, or simply enjoy the shoreline before paddling back. ### 🌊 Important: Not a Guided Tour This is an **independent kayak rental**, not a guided tour. Guests are responsible for monitoring: * Currents and tides * Wind and weather * Boat traffic * Their own paddling ability **Pay close attention to the current.** Planning your paddle around the tide and current can make both your trip out and your return much easier. ### 🐬 What You May See Along the way, you may experience: * Mangrove shorelines * Coastal birds * Dolphins and marine wildlife * Beautiful Estero Bay and Gulf Coast views * Quiet beaches and natural shoreline Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. ### 🐢 Respect the Environment Keep a safe distance from wildlife, avoid protected or posted areas, respect mangroves and seagrass, and pack out everything you bring. ### 🎒 What to Bring Water, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, waterproof phone case, dry bag, small cooler, snacks, towel, and water shoes. **Two seats.
