Cancellation Policy

Booking, Cancellation & Weather Policy Reservation Policy A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your equipment, tour, rental, or reservation date. The remaining balance is due prior to the start of services unless otherwise approved by management. Cancellation Policy Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled reservation may be eligible for a credit or reschedule at management discretion. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation are non-refundable, including deposits. No-shows are non-refundable. Weather Policy Guest safety is our priority. In the event of unsafe weather conditions, lightning, high winds, dangerous surf, or other conditions determined unsafe by management, reservations will be rescheduled to another available date. Matt’s Beach Shack and management reserve the right to determine whether weather conditions are unsafe for operations. Refunds will not be issued due to weather-related interruptions, delays, or closures. Guests will instead receive a rescheduled booking or account credit toward a future reservation. Rescheduling Policy Guests may request to reschedule based on availability. Management approval is required for all reschedule requests. Management Rights Matt’s Beach Shack reserves the right to refuse service, modify operations due to safety concerns, and make final determinations regarding cancellations, weather delays, and operational conditions.

Our **Kayak + Fishing Gear Rental** is a convenient **drop-and-go service**. Book online, meet our team at the designated launch area, and we’ll bring your kayak and fishing setup directly to you. Paddle out toward Hickory Island, find a good spot, fish, relax on the beach, or explore the surrounding waterways before heading back. ### 🌊 Important: Not a Guided Tour This is an **independent kayak and fishing rental**. Guests are responsible for monitoring tides, currents, wind, weather, boat traffic, and their own paddling ability. **Watch the current carefully.** Planning around the tide and current can make both your paddle out and return much easier. ### 🐟 Fishing Requirements Guests are responsible for having the proper Florida fishing license and following all FWC size, bag, seasonal, and location-specific fishing regulations. ### 🎒 What to Bring Water, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, waterproof phone case, dry bag, small cooler, snacks, towel, and water shoes. **We bring the kayak and fishing gear.
